This video caught my process of alerting authorities and the importance of communication in the back country

My planned ride to review a trail turned into something totally unexpected. In the end it shows the error in relying on cell phones for communication and the importance of having a back up device (in my case a 2-way satellite communicator).

In the end, the fire grew to around two acres and was hit by two heavy tankers (according to a firefighter on a facebook post). A team of 20 mopped it up the next day.
