Removed the tire, rim strip, and then proceeded to unlace my hub from the rim tonight. Hoping it all gets together by the middle to end of next week and if the weather holds out, get a couple days of shuttle laps courtesy of my wife. Waiting on my drivetrain to show up still.

Will need to get a hold of a couple small things and such, but all should go together smoothly.

So, I’ve got the different cups sizes on the Aurum HSP. I’ve got two sets that the owner of the frame mailed to me. Shouldn’t there be three all together?

Stock caps for the 461mm reach on the L/XL and then 4mm increase as well as 8mm increase.

Am I correct? I just want to be sure before I ask him as I don’t want to be a bother. Otherwise I might just run it with one of the two cup sets that I do have.

No, the cup that is used for the longest position is also used for the shortest position.

Still waiting on parts.

A day or two more and it should be ready for the weekend.

Waiting on my drivetrain still. Hoping it shows up ASAP!

Follow up question, how the hell can you readily adjust the rebound while the shock is mounted into the frame?

Yes. She's awesome and always willing to shuttle me.

I dunno, my solution was to get a DHX2 which has the things on the side Smile

maybe with the old trusty shop pencil

Anyone have any luck in adjusting the rebound on their Aurum 29 HSP? I’m not having any luck.

Physically? Or the shock isn't doing anything?

Physically.

It's hard but I did it one finger from each hand. You can also buy a DHX2 that performs better and it's more comfortable to adjust
