Hey folks, I have an old 2013 Giant Revel entry level HT that I am looking to fix up except...I think it's too big.

The frame is a large and I am an average-sized 5' 10" with a shorter inseam (30"). Normally, I would just sell the bike, but it belonged to my son and for sentimental reasons, I would love to make a solid ride out of it.

What are the downsides of riding a frame slightly too large? I will keep the bike, but the question is if I use it or keep it for memories.

Put a shorter stem on it and it would probably feel ok at your height.
