Stans Sealant Breakdown?

Anyone ever have any issues with Stans causing a tire to stick to itself like frickin' super glue? I put a little hole in a sidewall and when I went to remove the tire to patch it, the tire just completely stuck to itself. The Stans was brownish in color but it hadn't dried up into a ball or anything. It was still liquid, but it is a bit on the older side.

Not that I would think it matters, but the tire is a Specialized Ground Control 2Bliss Gripton.

Has anyone else seen anything like this? Any ideas on how to prevent / safe way to get it unstuck without damaging the tire?

I have had them stick from not cleaning them after taking them off and putting them in storage. I usually just pull it apart and peel off the old stans.
