Hi,
Please can someone help me identify the stroke of my Fox Vanilla R rear shock??? It has a 500x 2.3spring rate mounted onto it but I just wanted to check the spring is correct for the stroke. (bought second hand bike and checking it over)

Hi AndyF82,

I would start by measuring the eye to eye of your shock followed by measuring the length of visible shaft when completely uncompressed. If your measurements are 199mm (eye to eye) and 51mm (stroke) for example you can look up common shock size I.E 200mm x 50mm or similar.
If you look up the original spec of the bike you may be able to figure out if its the shock that was supplied originally and therefore look up the shock specs of the bike when released
