Hi all,

I have used the search and can’t find anything like this on this forum. A thread to discuss the racing rumours for all MTB disciplines but the majority will be World Cup related so I thought it would be best suited here. There are threads like this on other forums but no doubt there’s plenty just on here.

If there is one of these kicking about on PB, please link me up.

As written on the Bryceland to Cannondale from SC article, we are now into 2019 and the racing rumours/news will be coming thick and fast over the next week or so.

A few recent rumours/facts to kick us off:

Miranda Miller Leaves Specialized Gravity - fact

Specialized currently on Ohlins suspension but could be going to Rockshox (Curtis Keene spotted with a Lyric fork on instagram) - rumour

Connor Fearon on DHARCO clothing - fact

Kenta Ghallagher off UR Team after 2 year - fact

Graham Agassiz off Kona after 12 year - fact

Kade Edwards is almost certainly moving on from Trek - Kaos Seagrave called it on his insta story - but no clues on where he could be headed.

Gwin has just been spotted on an ebike (source Instagram) ...Intense has one in their range....

Hi was looking for one of these myself and ended up posing a thread in the downhill forum ha ha, oh well.

Anyway, here is what I think may happen.

Reese Wilson to trek
Dean Lucas to trek
Kade Edwards stay on trek, seen as though Athertons don’t seem to be taking him with them.
But I reckon those three will be on the same team next year.


Arron Gwin & nico mullally to intense.
Gwin buy into intense?

Athertons ???? Really don’t know, YT/ maybe cannondale???? I did also think maybe Nukeproof as I think it would be a good fit for Nukeproof, but I doubt it now because Brayton is riding one this year.

Phill Atwell?

Loris Vergier to specialized maybe.

Brendan to cannodale is a good shout though, he been pretty active on ratboys insta

Reece Wilson to join trek and possibly dean Lucas, I think kade will also stay at trek. The athertons to YT/Norco/commencal/intense, Gwin and mullaly to instense, Brendog to focus/dmr ??? (linked with dmr) loris vergier to specialised would be amazing to see loic loris and Finn all together again but seems as rumours of talks with 100% could be the missing fourth man on the trek roster although specialised is also 100% ??? Martin maes could go anywhere depending on if he wants to keep his mix between downhill and enduro and finally Charlie Harrison possible contender as fourth trek because of hints by brook macdonald using the word ‘trekking’ instead of going on chucks announcement.

Dean Lucas lastest insta, shows his new bike painted out. Looks like it’s running Shimano though. Trek look like they are running full Sram this year. So maybe he isn’t going to trek.

2nd trek rider is Ethan sandro who was already a sponsored sram and trek privateer.
Also dean Lucas is running shimano saint disc brakes in his recent Instagram post so I suspect him to be on Yt

nope. He's on Scott with brendog
