So towards the end of the year I'm wanting to upgrade my bike to a top flight model. One of the things I'm particularly interested in is the new XTR groupset and the new Scylence hubs.

For all the brands which are advertising XTR fitted models at the moment though, I notice they're pretty much holistically going with the DT Swiss wheels which obviously, have DT Swiss hubs.

Am I right in saying that because Shimano only makes the hub and not the entire wheelset, I've pretty much got Buckley's chance of seeing Scylence hubs as OEM? Because if you're a wheel manufacturer, why would you fit someone else's hubs to your wheels? And therefore, would I have to custom build myself a set of wheels if I really want the Scylence hubs? That or disassemble and then replace the hubs anyway.

Not sure if I've got this right but would appreciate if someone who knows more can spell this out for me.

Cheers
