I found a brand new 2017 Trance Advance 1 at a local shop. Retail on it was $4995 , now because it’s two years old the shop said they would sell it for $3000. Just want to know if that’s a good deal, and how good is that bike? Thanks

We're selling '18 Adv 1s in the UK with 40% discount.
So I'd say its not a great deal.

The 2017, 2018, and 2019 trance all use the same frame, and it has the Fox Factory suspension with Kashima coating, which Giant stopped using on their bikes for some reason (Kashima is good). I'd say go for it!

I think the 2017s suspension is not on par with the 2018 and 2019. Going from a 34 to a 36 and a DPS to a DPX piggyback with the newer models was a huge upgrade. As the second poster said, I'd be looking for a 2018 on sale.
