Thinking of buying a 2018 Norco Range A2

Just wondering what peoples' experiences are with the 2018 Range A2 29er. I have a chance to pick one up new for $3000.

I'm currently riding a Giant Reign and looking for something newer and with better climbing capabilities. Also wanting something a bit shorter for the technical trails around here. I tend to ride anything from steep, technical trails to mellow flow trails and want to get out on a few all-day epics this year. The weight of the A2 worries me though and I can't find much about the aluminum Range 29ers with regards to climbing and trail riding capabilites.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I mean, if you're concerned about weight, the $3k CAD enduro bike is the wrong category for you. The Range is a reasonably good climber, the 29er rolls fast and on your steep techy trails will feel right at home. It is a big, slack bike though with big wheels so if you're okay muscling that around on the more mellow terrain, that's a lot of bang for your buck. I'm not that big and strong, so I find myself staying loose and let the Range roll rather than try chuck it around, which might work for your style.

I have had a 2018 Range A2 29er since last fall, I'm fairly new to biking but I enjoy it. It climbs well and is good on descent. My only complaint is the tranzx dropper is spotty at best.
To compare I've ridden a couple other bikes fairly regularly before buying the range and afterwards.
I've ridden my brother in law's Trek Remedy, the Range climbs a lot better than the remedy but the Remedy is way better downhill.
My other brother in law's rocky mountain Altitude is great so I can't really compare it to the Range except that it's 27.5 and not 29.
I've also ridden my father in-laws Giant trance that was pretty similar to the Range in climbing and descending and then his new Trance e+ sx pro that was just stupid awesome to ride even if it is an ebike.
