We've booked on to go to Bike Park Wales on the 27th April and now we have another person coming with us, but unfortunately the uplift has sold out. He has bought a day pass but I am wondering, can you buy uplift on the day if someone has not turned up? or how easy is it to pay per uplift?

Any additional advice would be great as it's our first time there

Me and my mates are fairly local to BPW and we never book on. You could probably see if someone hasn't turned up but we've never done this.

You can buy individual uplifts in addition to the day pass, however this is a slightly more expensive way of doing it. I can't quite remember the price per uplift but i think it's around £5. You can buy cards with up to 5 uplifts on them so you don't need to run back to the centre after every run. You can buy as many of these cards as you want and they keep for a year.

Your mate will also have to use the slower uplift que, but it's not too much slower. You'll probably have to wait 10-15 minutes at the top if it's busy is all.

Don't worry, buy the 5x card, it's £20. Although the fully paid have "priority", the guys controlling the loading are really fair, I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes, and that's despite a priority queue of over 40; they'll load a bus up with priority riders, then let you as "non priority" onto the next one. It's not like you have to wait till every single priority ride has gone.

Thanks for the information, I've passed it on and it's eased his mind about the trip Big Grin

Hi guys
Sorry to hijack
I'm local ish to BPW and I'm looking into picking up a bike to ride there
I'm on a budget so was looking at the gt verb or kona precept 120
Will 120mm of travel be enough?

120mm be enough for the blues, and some of the reds. There are different grades, with degrees of flow, tech, or mix. Don't worry too much, just go enjoy.
