The area where I build trails is very flat, and my current run-up is about 1.5 feet tall and made of a big log covered in dirt. I cannot build as big jumps as I want because there is not enough speed. Any tips or other ways to build speed?

I can relate to you. I have a perfectly flat piece of land. I use my yard to pedal into some jumps but I finally built a roll in that is about 7ft tall. I made it like a tree house between 4 trees and a ramp off one side. At the bottom I used dirt to make it smooth. It leads into some pretty good jumps with no pedals but with a couple pedals I could make a lot bigger jumps. Smaller jumps that you can pump also build speed. Good luck!
