I'll be just north of Victoria in Duncan for a couple weeks this summer. I found simbs.com/ and of course Trailforks shows trails, but looking for first-hand advice.

1. Suggestions on a shop near Duncan where I can rent a L or XL 140-150mm 29er?
2. Suggestions on can't miss, best-trails-in-the-area?
3. Best breweries for post ride libations?

Depends what kind of riding you like, but definitely tzouhalem and maple mtn. Add prevost too if you like gnarly DH!

Thank you guys for the info and advice here. Is there a place that rents DH bikes on the island? I've found some that have enduros and trail mtb but I'm hoping to find something with more travel? I'll be visiting the island for a few days only and am trying to plan the bike aspect of my trip atm.

I can truly recommend COWICHAN CYCLES and Grant is awesome. Best customer service ever and superbly tuned rental bike to my individual needs. He even switched my brakes to moto without a word and they were Shimano, not Sram, so it was a bit of work. Great experience.

If you need a bike on Vancouver Island contact the guys at Cowichan Cycles, eh!!
