When you manual, do you (1) keep your shoulders in the back, like you were rowing at the gym? Or do you (2) relax them and let them go forward?

If I do (2), then the manual is easier, I am positioned further back, but I don't know which technique is better long-term, and I don't want to develop bad habits.
