any skate shoe will work. I see some people just wearing Converse occasionally. Flat is about all you need.

Define cheap.

I Used to wear whatever shoes I had. Either cross trainer/running style, or a skate style shoe. Then a couple years ago I scored a pair of 5.10s on sale for like $100 there is no going back now.

Same here.. Also if you look real hard on the interwebs, you may find some 2017 models of 5 tens on sale.

I bought some Afton shoes from jensonusa for $75. They seem to be a pretty good shoe, and super sticky
