What would you recommend as the ultimate short travel trail slope bike if you will? Something jibby that can also be used as a daily trail bike. Leaning towards a Santa Cruz 5010 but I'm a size XL and the head tube length is pretty ridiculous. Fire away!

I ride an actual slope bike as my trail bike, this one with a wider range cassette, 130mm fork and a dropper: https://www.vitalmtb.com/photos/features/2014-Sea-Otter-Classic-Pit-Bits-1st-Edition,7431/Kyle-Straits-Prototype-GT-Distortion-Sea-Otter-Classic,74157/bturman,109

It's not the ultimate or new, but this is my slope bike converted into a trail machine.
Works really well.

I would definitely ride a slope bike on everything and love every minute of it but at 6'7 I cant actually sit down and pedal on any of em. If only there were an actual need for larger sized slopestyle bikes haha.

Although your trail bike would be an XL, what about using a medium frame 120/130 bike with a dropper. Seems like it would be a compromise on both ends but it would work.

I've seen some riders (regular height) who are using a brands small frame dual suspension trail bike as their 4x/DS/Speed and style bike because not that many companies make slopestyles.

New Pike for easter
125mm rear, 130/160mm fork
Built up this Bolt as after a BAD crash free riding my old 4X bike, I wanted something full suss with a bigger front end. looked a lot of slope bikes an found them just too small for what I wanted. Was looking at old Bottle Rockets but, every thing that came up for sale was haggard as fk! Pretty pleased on how this came out. It rips dual an 4X (got a second place podium on it!) an also great at parks like Chicksands, Woburn an Danbury an it even rips places like Windhill.

I ran it 6 speed before this an there's plenty of more trail based builds out there, so totally pedal/trail friendly
