Millstone trails and Lake Placide

Hi,

I’ll be around Vermont/NY at the end of July and I plan to ride in Millstone with my wife and kids. On our way back home we plan to stop in Lake Placid for a ride.

My wife and kids (both are 11 years old) are still beginner but they have some skills. Usually we mostly ride single track. We are looking for nice trails and nice panorama.

Where should we go? Which trails should we ride? Thanks for your advice, and if you have anything else to suggest in those area we are open to change our plans!

The folks at Barkeaters Trail Alliance would be more than happy to help you out in Lake Placid. I'm not sure how much of their stuff would be 11yo friendly. Give them a shout! (BETA)

While you're in the central VT area, check out the trails at Perry Hill, near Waterbury. A central climbing trail, with a number of good descents from the top.
