HI! I just purchased two sls coil springs for my dhx2.I Dont know if I have the right stroke size? I have a 500 x 3.15 spring and a 525 x 3.00 spring. They both look physically the same height. What are the differences? Stacking those up to my original 400 x 3.00,the two higher weight springs are taller than the 400# spring. Is it because of the higher poundage rate?
I have a 2017 dhx2 coil shock 9.5 x 3.0
What is the difference between the 3.15 and 3.00? (they look the same.)

thanxs!

My son is going through same issue... he had a 500x2.75 went online, found a 550x2.75. It was listed on website as 2.5-2.75. When he received it, the shock had 550x2.65. Why the differences. Fox web site does not show a 2.5 or 2.65 stroke. Hes calling Fox today to find out. We did see differences in the coil spacing

let me know what you find out. as for i spoke with a fox support via phone and he swore i needed a 3.25.well i ordered it and it would'nt fit(not enough space for the plastic collars/spacers).went back to 3.0 and i am fine.now just trying to find the correct spring poundage.

They are changing the sls spring sizing to be more compatible with metric sizing shocks. So you'll be seeing odd inch measurement strokes.
I have a 400x3.15 too, and that basically has replaced the 400x3.0 spring. I don't think fox has updated their website with any of the new springs, which is pretty confusing.

They also recommended for me to run a 3.5 stroke spring on my 75mm stroke shock, which on my 375lb spring was fine but my 400lb spring had to be compressed just to clear the collar.

The standard steel springs may need a little extra stroke length to be on the safe side, as they have more coils and coil bind would happen sooner. With the SLS I would order them as close to you're actual shock stroke as you can.
