I have built trails in the past but now I am going onto much steeper terrain which means much more potential. I just wanna know some basics for making a brand new trail in mostly uncharted forrest.

Walk around the forest a few times, find cool features, see if you can link them, looks for routes with not to much clearing, I'm currently looking at new spots too as one of our closer ones has been shut down.

do alot of walking, and acept nature and its features. fighting against a given slope or other natural features will only result alot of work and maintenance.
