Recently got back on a bike after a 15 year hiatus. Bought a new Roscoe 8, and I’m looking for some post-ride maintenance tips. Basically, I’m looking to prevent rust, and maintain ride readiness.

After each ride, I notice the usual debris on the chain, cassette, crank, shocks, and seat post. What items would you recommend I buy, and what steps would you take to quickly clean up the bike after each ride?

I try to wipe the chain off after each ride or two. Re-lube as necessary. Wipe off the fork/shock stanchions. Basically wipe dirt and crud off moving parts.

After every ride, I'll wipe the dust off the stanchions, dropper post and shock. Every 3-4 weeks, my bike gets a thorough cleaning: Simple Green for the drivetrain and Muc-Off for everything else.
