Intense Carbine Carbon Frame Dropout Issue?

Photo shot through jewelers loop of inside rear dropout. Carbon is chipped out.
Intense Carbine photo taken through a jewelers loop on my phone. I removed the derailleur hanger and found a missing piece of carbon. Curious if this is part of their design because it is hidden and protected by the hanger insert? What about their warranty policy and experience? I have this claim started earlier this week but have not been able to get in touch with them over the last two days. Phone calls keep getting sent to voicemail after they play Ruby Soho Smile

What was the outcome? I'm curious as I'm considering a Carbine.
