Hey guys, just another safety gear question:

I currently ride park with a Fox Proframe. I’ve crashed a few times in it and it has protected me very well, apart from leaving me with some minor headaches after impacts.

The Proframe is DH-certified but seems to be geared more towards enduro riders, as it’s ultra light and breathable.

I was considering getting a Fox Rampage Pro Carbon, as it’s marketed as more of a “pure DH” helmet. Does this mean it’s actually more protective during big crashes?

Safety is massively important to me, but I don’t want to invest in another helmet if there’s no real difference in protection between the two. I also really love how lightweight the Proframe is and would prefer not to get something heavier if I don’t need to

300$ helmet cheaper than any neural surgery - invest in several helmets and pick preferable depending on riding conditions!

Better to ride cheap bike with expensive helmet then vise versa;
