I'm about 105kg (probably over 110kg geared up to ride).
Still dialing in my setup as I haven't had the bike for that long, but at the moment I'm running about 270psi in the X2, with whatever volume spacer it has from the factory (1 or none?).
Its decent like that but I'm planning to try adding a volume spacer or two, make it a bit more progressive.
It doesn't have the pop of the DPS on my Trance 29 for pumping rollers or small jumps, but feels very controlled and calm on rougher stuff.
Mine is a 2020 with the Fox 36, so can't comment on 38 setup.
You could definitely benefit from some volume spacers with a 2020 x2, 21 was redesigned to stop it blowing through the travel. As a bonus you may be able to run less pressure and get more small bump sensitivity
Just writing this to share my experience so far regarding suspension. I'm 82 kg.
For the Fox 38 Grip2
100 psi for 30 mm sag + 2 tokens from the factory supposedly from Fox's web (haven't checked). It felt kind of soft compared to my previous Pike at 80 psi and 2 tokens. It might be lack of tokens, I'll check when I can, or maybe I have to get used to this different feeling (maybe a much better air spring). Fox's suggestions for rebound damping are super bad IMO, suuuuper slow rebound.
For the Fox Float X2
220 psi for 18 mm sag + Xx tokens (don't know yet). It feels very good in terms of spring, very very supportive, much more than my previous Reign. Fox's suggestions for damping where again too slow on rebound but good on compression. Love to finally have compression damping!
Hi just been doing some measuring on my large reign 2 29er, looks like head tube angle is around the 63.5 degree range and wheel base is 1272mm? Is this normal? No head angle set. A bit different from specs. Still has a yari 170mm but ive put an rct3 damper and fox float dpx2 205x62.5. This maybe why ive been struggling in some tighter stuff!

Thats totally normal, my 2020 reign sx large measured the exact same.
Quite common, my RM altitude measures at 63.7 despite being in the 64.6 position. Norco sight though ment to have 64, measured at 64.6.
both measured on brand new dhr2's front and rear, its common to see a lower number with trail tyre setups.. ie dhf on front and dissector on rear due to tread height.
I’m trying to change my spring from the regular fox black steel spring to a fox sls spring What size do I get it’s a 2020 giant reign sx 29 with a fox dhx2 and with 350ld spring with 205x60 eye to eye and stroke length

The current spring says 2.80x350
2.80 is max stroke length of shock in inch, so any stroke less then that is good. I'm 85kg run 500lb spring
