check the air spring pressure. one up posts leak air some what notoriously
I did check it before installing, the instructions said 250-300psi and from memory I pumped it to about 280.
Next time I have the saddle off I'll add some pressure.
Bike is at the shop at the moment getting a jammed contact point adjuster on the Code RSC's fixed while its still under warranty, so I'm on the hardtail for now instead!
It has some upgrades like: -syncros hixon carbon Bars -giant trx 1 carbon rims With hope hubs -maxxis assegai 2.5 dh casing and cushcore in both wheels -flo motorsports levers -magura MDR-P Rotors 220/203 -170mm manic dropper -specialized seat -odi vans grips -sprindex coil
It feels good but I am thinking in swapping the rear shock for a float x2, I am 110kg fully loaded and I feel like I bottom out With the 610lbs coil
Maybe the x2 With 62.5 stroke and spacers Will help?
I haven't tried a coil to compare, but I'm similar weight with a 2020 X2 on mine and find it pretty good at around 280psi.
I am planning to try adding another volume spacer or two for a little more progression as the X2 does feel quite linear (at least to me having only had short travel bikes with small volume shocks before) but its pretty good already, I'm just getting fussy about fine tuning.

I love the x2 on my reign, I also have the 62.5mm shock and it’s a 2021 which had a total overhaul over the 20 and previous x2’s to make it more progressive, it was originally for a pivot but the tune is perfect and makes for the best rear end ive ever had on a bike, I’m not a heavy as you fellas at 90kg but have one token in the shock and it’s a majic carpet
Does anyone know if the 2021 reign is the same frame as the 2020, but with the 170mm 38 fork instead of the 160mm 36 fork, or is the frame actually different?

hey Ive been looking at purchasing a giant reign adv pro 29er frame, but the 170mm is too much travel for me I prefer a 150 or 160mm fork. How would under forking it play with the geo?
Ideally id put a 150mm Pike ultimate on it but am open to a 160mm Lyrik.

As mentioned in this thread above, the 2020 model year shares the same frame as the current year, and that year they came standard with a 160mm fork. It could probably take a 150 but I'd personally be more inclined to go with the 160 as it's been proven to work well already
The Reign 29 came with a 160mm fork in 2020, and I've heard comments from a few people who have ridden both that 160mm is a better balance with the 146mm rear travel than the 170mm.
Personally I bought an old stock 2020 instead of a 2021 as I preferred the spec and decided the 160mm setup was better suited to my riding.
But if you want a 150mm forked bike then better to just buy a Trance X 29 instead of a Reign, its made that way (150f/135r).
Just run the pressure and damping that feels good and ignore how much travel you use.
If you're concerned that the bike might feel too long and/or slack with a 170mm fork then it's probably just too big overall. 10mm or even 20mm less fork travel really isn't going to massively change the character of the bike.
FWIW I'm riding a 2020 SX with almost no access to shuttles and I'm happy with how it rides as a big trail bike.
