Good to know.

So I can either try to get the hardware off my rockshox shock, or order one like this?

And yeah that make sens on the bearing side, the trunnion bearing spin pretty roughly right now, The bike is a 2018, so I would guess that 2 seasons of riding may have been a bit hard on bearings haha

Hey guys.

Have a 2019 153cr. Im pulling the guides off and putting on some Shimano zees, 203mm front and rear. I have a question about the adapter sizing.

What adapter do I need for both front and rear? Ive read a few mixed ideas saying I need the Shimano 180-203 adapter, and some saying the 160-203 adapter. The front guide caliper had an adapter that said 20mm post on it.

The rear didnt have any adapter, so I'm assuming I need to get a 180-203 adapter for the rear.

any help would be appreciated... and kind fast as I need to get an order in within the next day or two.

Thanks all

You'll need 180-203 adapters front and rear I think. Doing a similar upgrade but haven't installed yet, the review on the front 180-203 says it's good for the rear as well

Correct. You need what is called “post mount” as opposed to “is51” or “tab mount” which run the bolts horizontally.

Here's my 2019 153 29 DL! Coming off a ~8yr hiatus with no riding to speak of, and this thing has been the perfect reintro to the sport. Still working on dialing in the suspension settings, but getting really comfy with it. Super playful bike.

It's still fully stock, so will be working on making it my own in the next year or so. Upgrade ideas welcomed Wink

So the chain stay support behind the bottom bracket. Has that been updated for 2020?

Friend has a 2020 153 cr dl & that support is vertical compared to the 15-20 degree slant on my 2019. Me thinks that's how the 2020's can get away with 29x2.4 wt's. It does allow for more tire.

Wait. You can’t fit a 2.4 wt on the 2019s??
