I'm sure your data is valid but the MegNeg is a solid value option for the price. I wanted my bike to stay more composed on fast rough terrain and I was able to achieve that with the MegNeg running 210 psi for 30% sag (190lbs), zero negative bands and 3.5 positive tokens. During consecutive hits, the shock feels like it's floating in between bottom and midstroke and off the top it feels plush like a coil.

I do think the chainstay length also plays a large factor on how the bike feels in rough terrain at speed, which is why Kona lengthened the chainstays on the new process by 10mm. If I damage my stock rocker link then I'd be interested in purchasing a cascade link.

I agree alot
I'm pretty afraid on the carbon stock rocker link
I saw few people that already broke theirs.
And definitely would consider buying cascade link if I'll break mine
Megneg with cascade link is something to consider?
Or that's to much progression?

The cascade link for the process is money well spent IMO. Its on my #2 best upgrade to any bike I have owned.

Whats first?

Shock change on 2013 Kona Process 134 (Basic Monarch -> DVO Topaz). I put a review / impressions of my experience with the cascade link a while back in this thread.

Hi guys,
I have a kona process CR 153 from 2018, that one in black and yellow
I've ridden it two summers and I love it, but I feel the need to change the airshock to a "good old" coil shock... I prefer the slacky feeling of my previous downhill bikes,
Is someone able to give me the reference of the bushings/spacers that I need to buy to change the shock as I have no Idea about what is required to change from trunnion -> normal shock axle? do fox/rockshox have different axle sizes?
Which coil shock would you recommend to someone who dont like to spend time on setting the shock, and a rider weight of 90kg?
Im grateful for any kind of help, I hope I get the bike ready for summer!

The lower is hardware you need is 8x30mm
The upper size of the Trunnion is 54mm
And the eyelet size is 12.7mm if that's help you
Alot of people are buying any kind of coil shock and putting the mrp progressive spring the size you need is 205x60 Trunnion mount if intersted buying the shock

Quick question, is the chainstay length of the 2021 153 435mm or 430mm? Some websites say 435 while others say 430

Anyone else running into issues with the stock WTB wheel set on the 2019 CR 27.5? I dented the first rim a week or two in amd got it warrantied and just dented the new one. This is while running cushcore and 32 PSI.

This is the first upgrade people should do with the 2018,2019 stock wtb wheelset
They are garbage
You should pick up a dt swiss rim and forget you ever had issues with wheels

Honestly that is the one thing that really disappointed me on this bike. The wheel set is garbage. The formula hubs belong on a Walmart bike and the rim is just about as tough as a aluminum can. Not even worth trying to get them warrantied again...

Just sell them out and get ex511 or ex 1700 with 350/370 hubs
You'll never have problems again

I upgraded to 350s and ex511s and rubber for the type of riding I do. Best money spent!!!

Great to hear this is the best combo I'm familiar with.
What ratchet do you have inside?
I'm using the 18 teeth and thinking about upgrading

I have the 18, planning to do the 54 upgrade as soon as my bike spending budget grows again. It's more a want than a need the 18 works perfectly but i like trying different stuff.
