Hi everyone,

So I've got budget of around £2500 give or take and I after FS Enduro mtb and I've narrowed it down to two bikes, the commencal meta am 29 2019 and whyte g170s 2020. Both of these are priced near enough exactly the same and both represent great value for money in my opinion and similar spec. Mayor difference is the commencal is a 29ner and whyte 27.5. I have never ridden a 29ner before. I'm planning racing, riding bike parks and natural trails and tail centres. What would you pick?

Neither however I would go for a testride

Cause testride is needed to make comparisons and there’s loads more out there on market

Testride I agree with. Can you name me some brands and models at £2500 price put that has similar spec to these?

I'd chuck a Vitus Sommet into the mix there, very well spec'd bikes for around that price point.

Never ridden the Whyte, however I have a pal who rides the base model (the S?) and he says its amazing. I believe Whyte offer a lifetime replacement service on bearings too, which could help.

Hey I don't know what you went for in the end but narrowing it down to a couple and picking between them wasn't a bad Idea, could spend the whole year trying to get a ride on EVERY possible bike within your budget.

Nukeproof Mega 29er. Decent alu framed spec for £2,500.

Trek slash 8 is £2700. Just got one and it flys up hill and xc/trail but can still hit the big stuff! Modern day all mountain bikes (I hate the term enduro) are just so versatile your getting close to one bike that can do it all.
