Issues with a trail junction while creating a route

Here is the trail junction I'm having issues with (circled in red)
The trails seem all connected
When I try to create routes through this intersection it avoids the intersection and takes a long indirect way around.
Here are some examples:

I don't know if this is due to a problem with the trails or a bug.
It seems that maybe the road crossing might have something to do with it.

I edited the trails, it works better now.
