Hello there, I am about to pull the trigger on a LV145, has anyone had any regrets or bad experiences with Ferrum bikes? Thank you
I had the 170, my friend has the 145. I sold because I thought the chainstay was just too long and the front too slack, and the suspension kinematics we're very frustrating to compensate for. leverage ratio is digressive meaning you're always trying to compensate with the shock to make up the difference.
I'm not particularly picky, but I enjoy trying a bunch of different frames. when I come back to a steel frame I'll probably try something a bit more designed.
that being said, I think it's a perfectly fine bike and was still really fun to ride once the suspension was set up ok. the price is great but I do believe in this instance you get what you pay for. just not my style, very long. I enjoy more pop and playful bike.
Ferrum make quality bikes. Their customer service is top notch. They will have your back if you have any issues with their frames. I’ve had the NV170 and NVHT for almost 2 years now. Both are killer bikes. No regrets.
