My new bike came with a fox 36 160mm fork with the fit4 damper. I had it set to 20% sag with one volume spacer and It really didn't feel good to me. I had 89 psi in it at this point. When I would hit roots it felt like it was bouncing off of them rather than absorbing the hit.

Fast forward to tonight I removed the one spacer and dropped it down to 75 psi. The fork feels way better. I can ride into a curb and the fork literally dampens the hit with no bounce at all. And I'm still a good couple inches from bottoming out. It also seems to ride fine although I'll need to get it out on a trail to really know.

Does anyone else run their fork soft like this? Heck it might not really be soft. It could be how it is supposed to feel and foxes recommended numbers just don't work for my type of riding. I don't do big jumps so there is no need for me to worry about the fork handling that.
