I have had carbon bikes all my life. Heard good things about titanium frames. Was thinking of buying one. Anybody have both? Want to know if it’s a huge difference or not.

I have only had steel and carbon road bikes but I have had several titanium hardtails and a few carbon full suspension bikes. I wouldn't bother with a Ti road bike for any sort of performance reason. My carbon full suspension bikes feel like they transmit my power better than my titanium hardtails. Ti frames flex like steel. I do like titanium much better than steel as it is significantly lighter but carbon is hands down a better material for a road bike imo. If you were touring and wanted something super durable and repairable on the road, ti or steel might be an option.
