I have the opportunity to purchase a 2005 Prophet lefty. In my research I have seen there was several models or builds. The 600, 800, 1000, and 2000. Is this printed on the bike somewhere? If not how do you tell?

Yes and no. Depends on the year. You can find the relevant model year catalogs from Cannondale by googling "Cannondale Prophet" + model year + "user manual".
