So fitted new slx 12 speed cranks to my 2020 trek remedy, which has a bb92 bottom bracket.

Fitted the cranks along with a wheels mfg bottom bracket but my issue is I can't seem to get the plastic tab on the crank arm to engage as hole on spindle is a few mm away from where it should be.

Is this a problem? I can't push the cranks over to the non drive side any further and there's no spacers on the bottom bracket.

Plastic tab?
The plastic star nut on the none drive side that screws into the spindle/axle to preload the bearings.
Or
The plastic tab that sits between the 2 pinch bolts that clamp it to the spindle/axle on non drive side arms.

The plastic tab between the pinch bolts .don't worry about a gap doesn't have to be squashed flat. Torque the pinch bolts as suggested in the instructions. Don't need to be really tight .
