Is Fox 40 26" with 650b wheel ,same as 650b fork/wheel + MORC?

As title,
Is it as simple as using the older 26" fork with 650b wheel,to achieve same results as 650b set up plus MORC.
Obviously it will be coil in the older model as opposed to air in the newer models,is that such a bad thing?
