Carbon only Jeffsy so maybe an all aluminum special edition later in the year?
Was really hoping for an alloy version of the new geo

Very interesting to ditch the alloy as it was a nice entry point. Now the low build is 3k.

Build kits look good, YT Postman dropper is interesting, wonder if it’s just a rebrand.

Kinda bummed on dropping AL, I just don't have any desire to own a carbon bike. AL Capra with 180 travel seems to take it out of the "Trail Bike" category and deep into "Enduro" (and still no water bottle).

Glad they went with a 36/DPX2 on the Jeffsy, IMO a nice upgrade over the 34 from last year. For $3,000 you get a LOT of bike, I just don't know if I want to go the carbon route.

There's still hope that they will simply release the AL version of the Jeffsy at a later date. For whatever reason, many people seem to think that a strong possibility.

My thoughts on the 2020 range...

Looks like a 10mm increase in travel across all bikes to match their Pro Race models

Capra base has had last years NX/Lyric combo downgraded to SX/Yari, but looks like the price has come down a bit.

Would have liked a higher spec AL Capra like last year

Some positive updates to the Jeffsy range - piggyback shocks across all models and a Fox 36 on the CF comp.

Shame the CF Comp level bikes have NX Eagle, would liked to have seen at least SLX

Interesting that the claimed weights have increased significantly on bikes that are similar to last year. The Capra Pro 29 has gone up about 800g from last year, but the spec looks pretty much the same? Maybe they are just being more honest...

Assume we will see a Jeffsy AL base with same spec as the Capra base sometime soon.

Also found it interesting the Capra base (AL) and comp (CF) have the same weight at 33.5 pounds. Granted they weigh the small bikes with no pedals. Sure you get better components, but for $900 more you don't save any weight with the CF frame?

they also now spec code rsc on jeffsy pro race and g2 rsc on the pro models.. kinda pissed that my 19 has the crappy deluxe shock with Guide rs and mine cost freaking 4500 hundo and the price for pro is now 3900.. crazy how they got the price down and it didn't go up.

Everyone seems to think an AL Jeffsy will come later. Not sure if it will or if that's just wishful thinking. I was ready to buy today. Now I'm afraid I may have moved on to something else by the time it comes out (if it ever comes out).

I was really interested in the AL Jeffsy and the Capra. But the 2019 Capra was a bit bigger of a bike than I need. I kept trying to convince myself it would be ok for my trails.

Then today I get no alloy Jeffsy and even the Capra has grown to where it is definitely too big of travel for me now. Sucks. Thought I would be a YT owner today.

I was waiting to see the AL Jeffsy or AL Capra, card in hand, pressing F5 all morning.

You know what? I'm completely happy about ordering the base Capra in blue. It looks so rad. The geo is a wee bit less aggressive than the Slash 8, which was still perfectly fine on the trails near me, so this will be great. I'm happy to get so much bike for the money, SRAM SX be damned. The wheel set is nice and I could convert the drivetrain to SLX 12 for about $240ish (not the cranks) when it inevitably breaks.

Very stoked about seeing it in the flesh.

Heard theres more bikes getting released.... Not sure when.

If more bikes are on the way I wonder if an alloy Jeffsy and maybe a 120/130mm bike will be announced? Seems like a possibility since the new Jeffsy and Capra ranges bumped up the travel by 10mm.

It seems odd to not release all bikes at the same time, unless they do a LTD AL Jeffsy like they did with the Capra last year (Which a AL Jeffsy with a DHX2/36 combo would be AWESOME).

I'm leaning towards the Jeffsy Comp, but still not sold on the idea of a carbon bike. I read somewhere that crash replacements are like $1,200. Assuming carbon is quite a bit less forgiving than AL, I don't know if I want to have to dish out for a crash replacement. But I also don't need a 180mm travel bike for the occasional park day I'll do, and don't want to be stuck pedaling around the bigger Capra for most of the rides I do.
