I have 2006 Giant AC that over the years I equipped with some decent components (good fork, wheels, etc.). Recently I tried more modern bikes and now my bike feels way too small. I figured that I should get a longer frame.

I would like to build my bike with 160mm fork and 135x10 rear wheel, and these are 26''. What frame should I get? Overforked 27.5'' frame designed for 130-140 travel should work?

Has anyone tried similar setup? Would really appreciate your help.

Not sure what you'll get that's both modern geo and will take a 135 rear wheel. I've got last years cotic bfe with a 26" rear wheel, 27.5 front. It rides really well and has tons of mud clearance at the back. Good luck looking.

My hub is bolt-on, hence I most likely will be able to fit the wheel into any frame with 135x12 rear mounts.

Thanks for your suggestion! Unfortunately, it only ticks all the compatibility boxes. Yet, the primal problem is the short frame, and with 409mm reach this one is even shorter than my current rig.

Brand-X HT-01 or NS Clash are other alternatives. The 160mm fork is pushing it though.

I own both an NS Clash and NS Surge Evo and love both.
