Hi all, just wondering if anyone has tried a 29 front in a Summum. Any feedback of the result and the process would be great!

Considering to try it before next season, but it's looking like a lot of work. I tried a full 29er last season (V10) and my hands really appreciated it, but I like my summum other than wishing for a smoother ride on long tracks for my poorly trained hands. I have tried different fork setups.

So according to Greenlands mechanic in the link below, they changed up a frame size! Changed to -2 headset cup, put in some special BB to reduce height and put in some special shock brushing. I also noticed he is running a long stem not sure of that's related, I tried this previously with 27.5 and it felt terrible. I assume also they have reduce the fork travel, but that's not mentioned.

Currently I ride a large, with 0 headset cup, the shortest wheel base chip and the 20mm mond stem.

Hi, I might be a bit archeologist digging out this thread but I'm at the same moment as you were starting this thread. How did mulleting end up? Could you share any experiences, tips?
Cheers!

Well his setup was fooked.
Nobody ran the short stems....

On a L at least with the rear end short they are unbalanced as shit.

Laurie was running 2* steeper headset
And an eccentric bottom bracket to lower the bb back down. They also used offset bushings to shorten the shock and drop the bb all the way back down
I think this combo was to allow full travel without getting ridiculously slack and high @ the bb.
