I've spent the last 2 evenings searching to find out the answer but I can't - will a SRAM DUB crankset fit an 83mm BB? All the info about them say that they will fit ALL combinations, but from what I can tell, they wont fit an 83mm, because the spindle isn't long enough...

83mm BB shell
11mm DUB outboard bearing cup each side
=105mm

A SRAM GX crank for example has a 100mm spindle measured from the inside of the twisty spacer, to the end of the smooth section where the drive side crank arm will be. So by these measurements it will be 5mm too short, but I can't find any info anywhere about these not fitting, or that they have a longer version (only their BB30 press fit cranks have a 101.5mm spindle which is still too narrow.

Oh yeh, thanks. I don't fancy spending £300+ on cranks though. Shame.

Yea thats just the first crank i found on one of the US distributors website. I would assume there are some not so crazy alloy options as well.
