Perfence? Manitou or fox?

I currently have a 2013 Diamondback mason 29er. It has a 2014 manitou tower pro 140mm fork. I have tossed around the idea of getting a different fork, something that is the same weight (lighter if possible) and 140mm.
i found a 2014 fox 34 talas ctd fork 140-110mm, but I'm not sure it's worth it. I have read reviews on the manitou and it's a good fork and from what I have riden it's good. But would the fox be worth the upgrade?

First, there must be a good reason Fox stopped making the Talas.

I have a ‘16 120 Minute Pro with soft spring and it’s hard to beat the plushness, performance, and tuneability it provides. I’m trying out a ‘13 140 Fox Factory 34 and while it is stiffer with more travel, it is not lighter nor is the ride as refined as the MMP.

That's a valid point. I may just stay with the manitou. Might just order a rebuild kit and freshen it up.

I went from a 2016 Manitou Minute Expert 130mm to a 2016 Fox 34 Factory 130/140 and am very pleased with the Fox fork. Much better small bump compliance. Admitted the Fox fork is a higher level product than this particular Manitou. This was certainly a worthwhile upgrade.

The factory series would be better than the manitou?

I’m loving my MRP ribbon air.

I did see a MRP loop for sale. My main issue would be keeping the fork weight the same or lower if possible

Dont fox forks run on the heavy side?

According to internet the Fox is a bit lighter. Hard to tell when holding them in my hands.

I might just keep the manitou for now until it gives out. then go to a fox or dvo. Nothing is wrong with the manitou currently, main wanted the upgrade for the color scheme

Before

As of right now (changed the frame color to a nice matte hunter green)

Trying to decide on a color scheme. Hunter green/white/black or hunter green/lime green/black. I know it still needs frame decals and such
