Have any of you ever swapped the wheels and tires on a 27.5+ bike to 29er tires? I want to try this out on my Trek Roscoe 7.

I put 27+ on my 29 so no reason not to try reverse on your Roscoe. Just be sure there is plenty of room between the tire and your seat tube currently.

The Roscoe has decent clearance, so it should work with narrower tires. The bottom bracket height will rise:

• 29" wheels are larger, even with narrower tires.
• Large tires compress quite a bit when you're on the bike, which lowers the ride height from the unweighted measurement. The narrower tires will sag less, increasing the difference in dynamic ride height between the two set-ups.

Maybe you can borrow a set of wheels to try it before buying a new wheelset.

I'm with RMR. Borrow some first.

I have a 27.5 + Marin Pine Mtn 2 that I use both sizes of wheels in and it's nice to have options. Physically fitting the wheels in shouldn't be an issue, it's more a question of feel after.
