I'm kinda surprised a tr6 got so far from England without disintegrating

It used to seem surprising. Then my dad bought a Triumph Stag. It was an accomplishment to do 50 miles without the old girl breaking down, the head gaskets were known to blow on that engine at least once every couple of years. However, in engineering terms those engines are completely mechanically sound, it was the unmotivated workmanship of the guys in the factory that caused their reputation. So yes, tr6 seems almost indestructible compared. lol

Just researching the Triumph I stumbled upon this.

Not embedding it here but f*ck me, I'd never imagine a Triumph turning into a monster like that.
