Lol, thanks man, I was only having fun on the colors of my bike, I built it without planning what colors to put it, I just told my painter to put blue on fork and orange on the frame, rest is past and history, nothing serious.

This aftermarket crown/steer assembly allows me to run a 50mm stem and mount it in the -8mm position which turns into a 42mm stem. Matches the aftermarket offset exactly. Fox 40 stock offset = 52mm. This would only ever be used as a rear tire, but god damm is that a huuuge weight difference at the most critical point of the bike to notice weight change. I'm hesitant to run non-wirebead tires that use thinner rubber>>vs.12.7oz extra for the wire bead + added rubber is no jokeWhip Thoughts??

Attention Building a SUPER-MEDIUM Insurgent Attention
I'm considering doing a Large frame but bolting a 30mm direct mount stem to the +8mm crown/steer stem mount position>>Bringing the stem to 38mm long on a 42mm offset fork. This makes the steering *slightly* more twitchy than that of a 42mm stem to match the 42mm fork offset -BUT- my thinking is that the longer toptube of a Large Insurgent frame will help compliment the slightly shorter 38mm stem. Evil dealers say once you hit 5'10"/5'11" tall that large frames are the only way to go. I'm riiiight on the cusp at 5'9" (+2" wingspan) !Salute THOUGHTS???2 cents 2 cents 2 cents

+Canfield Brothers AM/DH Cranks in 160mm length (would have to switch chainrings to the sram style direct mount--still running a Wolf Tooth 32t oval ring) Not so sure they offer the ultra-short 160mm cranks in 68/73mm spindle length. I only see it for 83mm bb fit. This would be HUGE for added pedal strike clearance (64*-62* head-angle possibilities! vs. 165mm Hope crank-arm length.

The Profile Elite cranks are awesome (steel is real, superb vibration dampening) BUT, the 3-piece bmx crank setup is horrendous to install/remove and the Profile crank axle/spindle is only 22mm (vs 30mm of the Hope Evo or 24mm axle/22mm spindle mount Canfield crank). Facepalm hmm, but the 22mm Profile axle is steel vs. the others crank options being aluminum. Added vibration dampening at the cranks that isn't carbon fiber...love itSmile

-Deity 'Brendog' bar + direct-mount stem combo**;
+Deity BF800 handlebar, 31.8 aluminum (8* bend X 5* upsweep)
+Deity Intake DM stem, 31.8, 50mm reach (mounting on the -8mm upper-crown brings the stem to a 42mm reach. Matches the 42mm fork offset exactly) ---theoretically 'best' on a medium frame. For a "super-medium" Large frame build I would go 37mm, 38mm or 40mm on the stem reach to shorten up that toptube

**Deity direct-mount stems have the WIDEST clamping mount of any company out there today @69mm wide!! For reference, Enve bars have a max-clamp zone width of only 58mm. If I ran either of the Deity DM stem's then I would HAVE to pair it with any Deity handlebar as they allow for the wide clamp of the DM stems.

+Deity Intake DM stem, 31.8, 50mm reach (mounting on the -8mm upper-crown brings the stem to a 42mm reach. Matches the 42mm fork offset exactly) ---theoretically 'best' on a medium frame. For a "super-medium" Large frame build I would go 37mm, 38mm or 40mm on the stem reach to shorten up that toptube

**Deity direct-mount stems have the WIDEST clamping mount of any company out there today @69mm wide!! For reference, Enve bars have a max-clamp zone width of only 58mm. If I ran either of the Deity DM stem's then I would HAVE to pair it with any Deity handlebar as they allow for the wide clamp of the DM stems.

What did I miss? Smaller jockey wheels on the derailleur? A 1-up/SWAT steertube stealth tool set? Vibration dampening clearcoat tape?? (this is real btw) haha, or Santa Cruz Reserve carbon rims (only 28H for 27.5--yuck)..?? Tell me what's worth checking out that I might have missed.

Well I would personally pick a boxxer as the fork because it is lighter than the fox 40 and this is a bike that although is for heavy use doesn't need the extra stiffness and weight that a fox 40 gives. Just my opinion
