Anyone have any information on when and if a new carbon Ripmo is due.

I have heard sea otter in April or February, I'm in between bikes so it would be nice to know if I should wait a little bit longer.

No. There are no credible rumors or “spotted in the wild” for a new Ripmo. Bike will be on it’s 3rd? Season this year, so I am sure there’s a revision in the works, but I would be surprised if it’s out in the next month.
You can play this game every year, or you can buy the bike you want, ride it a couple seasons and move on. That’s my theory at least.

It's in its 2nd season now, on the website and the dealers they've just changed the spec levels slightly. Which usually means it's here for the rest of this year, I'd expect an updated Ripmo for 2021 released end of 2020.

I think I'm going to wait until the end of the month, a couple of weeks won't hurt. Smile

Waiting another month sounds good just incase, but another thing that makes me think that it won't be this year that it will be re vamped or replaced, they sent one to Enduromag for the 2020 trail bike (or enduro bike) of the year testing (and won). Can't remember a bike that got sent to one of those sort of tests in any of the mags I read and then overhauled.

Honestly man can't recommend the Ripmo enough, its a beast of a bike.

What do you guys think of the mtbr forum “Any New RIPMO Rumors?”

I’m praying that they’re right and it’s coming out tomorrow but I’m kind of feeling its too good to be true. As I’m in between bikes, once i sell my trail 429 ill be buying a ripmo and want to make sure I’m getting the latest and greatest when i put my cash down and a new bike doesn’t come out a month later.

I'm guessing its going to be a more aggressive carbon Ripmo. The OG Ripmo just got trail bike of the year 2020 so I don't think that model is going anywhere.

I guess so. This is the first time I’ve used mtbr and I don’t know how I feel about it. Only platform I was able to find people talking about a new ripmo a lot on so I gave it a try. We’ll see if their predictions are right tomorrow!

Looks lovely! It also sounds like its just a V1 with an angleset? I've never found the rear to be flexy so I guess the new stiffness wouldnt make much of a difference to your average Joe...
