Hey guys, anyone else installed the old tokens (red) on the 2021 Super Deluxe? The manual says that only the new purple token are compatible.
For me the Red token fits (not flushed all the way as intended) and seems to be working fine, i should be worried with premature wear, the token unclip and become loose or something like that?
Maybe i'll just try to trim the token to fit like the purple, as i can tell the only difference is the notches at the border.
Maybe Mitch have something to add about the tokens.
I had to do some digging on this one, but I was able to find the correct part numbers for the tokens needed for the Rockshox Super Deluxe Ultimate ThruShaft.

Found that with the mentioned article number of Mitch: 11.4118.051.005
DING DING! We have a winner!

Thanks Mitch!
Is it possible to install a token while the ThruShaft is still build in? I never removed a rear shock from a frame - so I´m a little sceptical.
My dealer told me, that they send the shock directly to Rockshox to let them install a token.. which will lead to a two week bike-abstinence. Not possible!

You bet! The shock would have to be removed and opened up for the volume spacer to be installed.

I think Mitch was saying "you bet" to your actual question and not the last line of sending the shock to RS. Adding a rear shock token is easy to do. Lots of youtube videos on it, too.

Hey Mitch, Thanks for still being around and looking out for the Slashers of the world!
Felix, I would buy 2 of these strap wrenches if you don’t have any special tools (non-marring). https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-Fitting-Removal-Tool/1002645216?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-plb-_-google-_-lia-_-208-_-plumbingtools-_-1002645216-_-0&placeholder=null&ds_rl=1286981&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIrJmZubP37gIVsjizAB1fmACOEAQYASABEgIXo_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
Also make sure you watch a couple videos and do know that it may take a bit more force To get the can broke loose than you might think at first. My wife was laughing at me because I was trying to be careful and ended up saying well here goes nothing, if I can’t get it apart then it goes back to RS anyways!

The creaking does not appear if I just compress the suspension straight downwards, which is visible in the first video.
I already sprayed some suspension oil to all the bearings to spot the affected one but that did not help. I have no idea from where the creaking sound comes.
Do you guys have any tips? It gets worse and worse the dryer it gets outside.
Hey Mitch ..what are the 2022 colors..??..I'm sure there being made..i cancelled my 21 order cause at this point might as well just wait for the new models..and seeing my local dealer has no idea when he's getting product....

That's presuming there is going to be a 2022 model....

Sounds stupid, but also grease the top cap bolt and star nut. I had an annoying creak on my '18 remedy and that was the cause. Didn't happen on my '21 slash, but I greased it from the start

it is only when the rear brake is pulled. I would check the brakes completely. Bolts, brake pads, discs - remove, clean and reassemble everything. The brake calipers can make these noises when the brake pads are moving.
