I emailed Fox to see if I could purchase Factory 34 lowers (only $250 btw) to swap out my Rythem 34 lowers under the impression that the factory ones are lighter and have slotted bushings for a little less friction.
Their response was "No, Rythem lowers only work with Rythem forks. Trade them in using our Trade in Program for some factory forks."
I kinda think this is BS. The damper and the air spring are identical to the Performance models (Grip). I'm pretty sure the uppers are identical other than Kashima.
Does anyone know if: 1) Factory lowers are lighter than Rythems? 2) They're swap-able?
The Rhythm lowers use a smaller diameter base stud for the damper compared to a non-rhythm 34. you will need a new damper, or rebuild your current one with new parts
