Hi i got a new rigid+ bike a month ago & it came with Level TL brakes. I ride mostly in SoCal where it's dry & can get hot. We also have a lot descending on trails, like I've done1000 foot in 5 miles type on a gravel bike(with 700x50mm xc tires & trp spyres). I went to look into the maintenance tips for hydro brakes & all the talk was how people with a lot of downhill aren't the happiest with it. It somehow got stuck in my head. I am not thinking about just swapping my front brakes for a 4 pot sram setup. I am seeing that the Guide T for the front can be had for like $100 new I can could probably sell my front TL for $80. Is it worth the hassle of upgrading & then selling the TL brakes or would I be fine? Should I just go 203mm rotor w/ the correct post mount adapter(for like $30) or 4 pot really that much better?
