I have sun rims mtx on my bike and I don't now if it will be good for DH or if I need to put beter rims like mavic dee-max

of those two I would go dee-max, due to the fact that they are lighter and still quite strong. I have cracked a few mtxs in my day.

I personaly would go for mavic 721s/729s with a Hope hub or something similar. I think that Deemax wheels are ridiculously overpriced for what they are.

i´d say mavic deemax. -> are lighter and the spoketension is on every spoke exatly the same waht makes them very stiff, and mavic gives u a warranty.

if u were going to build wheels also look at the mavic 823 which is the same rim as the deemax but u could put diff hubs

MTX's are fine, they are strong and will hold up great if they were built well and your not a total hack.

Why waste money when you don't have to?

I love my mtx's, they are light and have held up nicely. Plus im running them tubeless now. 28 psi is such a huge luxury.
