Hi.

2013 Salsa Spearfish. Came with crappy fox float CTD. Bike rear shock specs are:

1.5" x 6.5"
8 x 22.2 mm for both ends.

Two years ago, replaced with Manitou McLeod (wife's bike). Really nice shock. We were able to get the bushings out of the CTD eyelets and inserted them into Manitou, no problem. There were some spacers (very thin) that we also re-used.

Doing the same swap on my bike, and I am wondering if it would be better to get OEM Manitou mounting hardware.

First, I see hardware sets for 12.5 mm and 15 mm eyelets. My understanding is that Manitou shocks, post 2011, are 15 mm.

Second, with the hardware sets, I can find manitou sets that are 8x20, 8x24, many other sizes, but not 8x22.2, which is the Spearfish spec.

So, I am looking for suggestions on how to get the right hardware.

Kind regards,
Dave.
