I'd love to get some real numbers on how wide all the different shock tunnels are, especially on the Tallboy and Hightower. Hoping this will help folks choose aftermarket shocks. Here's mine:

2019 Nomad v4 C size LG

Horizontal clearance: 66mm widest point
Vertical clearance: 40mm shock center to top

I have a an extra large Hightower v2 and id like to know if an Öhlins ttx shock will fit. I messaged Santa Cruz uk about this today and all they did was forward a message off the Santa Cruz website saying that the Hightower v2 doesn’t accommodate any coil shocks but it does because people use the CCDB IL coil on the Hightower v2

The stock hightower linkage does not have the rate to support a coil shock safely. I'd recommend the Cascade Components Hightower 2 LT link: Here

Then, just double check that the specified dimensions of the shock you want will fit into the shock tunnels, by using this handy dandy thread!
