We have a new trail system that has popped up in the Socal area in recent years called Greer Ranch. Unfortunately, there are plans to build a housing track right through the trails system. We are trying to help show the city how many people use the trail system via petition. As you can read in the petition, our goal is to work together with the city and Pulte Homes to reach an agreement that works for everyone. If you have ever ridden there, or would like to in the future, please consider signing.
Every builder, at least here in Arizona, needs to have a certain amount of green space dependent on how much hardscape is going in. Most of it is in retention basins which they turn into tot lots with swings etc. But there is more and more want for paths through neighborhoods. Pulte is pretty aware of this want for its developments and hopefully they will work with you, and you they. Probably means some trails changing in nature as they go through the tract but hopefully the value is there and you all keep it. Also depending on how long the trails have been there, there are certain laws governing the ingress egress of properties that may help. My knowledge is pretty much limited to AZ so I don't profess to know too much at all. Good luck to you.
