What defines a skinny?

So, skinnies. Obviously, logs with the top shaved flat, and 2x8 (or 2x6) bridges. But do bridges qualify as skinnies? Or maybe just narrow bridges? Or is this getting into the area of personal interpretation?

Does it matter? I only worry about width of an obstacle if I'm about to fall off it, defining what it is doesn't really cross my mind. Smile
